During the launch of their X150 Project (the XJ series) Jaguar Cars specified Profibus DP Absolute Encoders for several applications in their automated assembly line.  Numerous options were considered but the precision and flexibility afforded by encoder technology drove Jaguar to adopt the precise motion control Profibus DP encoders by the German OEM - Posital Fraba GmbH. Jaguar cars turned to PCA Limited to resolve their application.

As the leading specialist in Absolute Encoders, it was equally important for PCA Ltd to provide the necessary technical and commercial assistance to Jaguar Cars.  PCA acted swiftly and provided the vital interface between their German manufacturing business partner - Posital Fraba and Jaguar Cars.  This resulted in urgent production, full performance testing and despatch of OCD-Profibus DP encoders which were made available in 5 hours instead of regular 3 - 4 weeks lead time.
